i just got back from ganeshfest...it was a concert featuring local bands (from san diego) hosted by unwritten law...10 bands in all for the low, low price of $25...a bargain, a steal...here were the bands: 18 bones, stretcher, hornswaggled, pivit, rochelle-rochelle, death on wednesday, convoy, sprung monkey, fenix tx and last but not least unwritten law...

the concert lasted 9 hours and yes my ears were ringing afterwards...all these bands rock, so buy their cds and go to their concerts...

i just came back from watching blade 2...it was pretty good...great fighting sequences, lots of blood, and a cutie vampiress (who is on the cover of this month's maxim)...after the movie chris hooked me up with some cds...more music to listen to, muwhahaha...

"roller queen" ..jimmy eat world..

last night i was karaoking (is that even a word) in a friends garage for 3 hours...we were trying to sing, goofing around mostly...i miss singing, i used to be in a choir...yeah way back in high school...i always looked forward to that class, it was always fun exciting and challenging...ahh memories...

anyways this morning i woke up early to get my tires replaced (yes my balding tires that almost always get me into an accident whenever it rains)...my appointment was at 8am so i got there at 740am...it wasnt finished until 9am...on top of that i went to pick up some tires my dad ordered...it took them 30min to go through their stock and finally come back to tell me they didnt have them in...i was in a real good mood after that...

"california" ..phantom planet..

i woke up at 7 this morning to help my uncle again...our plan was to go to the landfill and dump off the shrubbery and trees that we hacked and slashed yesterday...let me tell you the landfill smells horrible...i just dont see (or smell) how people can work at such a place...they must get paid a lot cause there must be some serious health risks to work there...

anyways while driving back home the truck that my uncle borrowed stalls on the freeway...the engine just died right before our exit so we pulled off to the side...we check the fuel gauge and it clearly says 1/4...so it couldnt be the gas...then we popped the hood, nothing was leaking or loose...we tried to start the truck again but it was no use...so we decided to walk and use the call box that you see on the side of the freeways...why dont you use your cellphone you ask?...well my uncle seemed to misplace his phone the night before and as for myself, i dont have one...whats that you say!?...yes, ryan does not own a cell phone...i am forced to use smoke signals when trying to contact people...so after 30 min the towing service finally comes by...we try to start the truck again and by some freaky miracle it works...we end up paying for the gallon of gas that the guy brings...and the grand total comes up to $50...

so what are some of my friends doing over spring break: some are going snowboarding...others to rosarito...more to hawaii...one to texas...and another to new york...yeah ryan gets to work during spring break...so there goes another chapter in the misadventures of ryan...be sure to tune in tomorrow..."same bat time, same bat channel"...

"the remedy" ..abandoned pools..

my uncle bert from conneticut is in town for a few days...he asked for my help...it seems a tenant is moving out of his rental (work thats right up my alley)...yes its work, but its for family...

when you were younger, did you have an uncle or aunt that would take you wherever you wanted to go...or how about would always give the best gifts for birthdays or christmas...yeah thats my uncle bert...i remember when the nintendo first came out in 1985 and thats what he got my brother and i for christmas...

"not alone" ..homegrown..

today was a nice slow lazy day...my body felt exhausted so i took a 2 hour nap this afternoon...yup i guess spring break has finally hit me...i have nothing really planned this break...just going with the flow of things i guess...but i do see a lot of rest and relaxation this break...i need some "me" time...

so how bout them oscars...i thought it was pretty good, they had many interesting inbetweeners...but after watching the 4 hour ordeal i realized that i have a whole mess load of movies to watch...blockbuster here i come!
