"that girl" ..pivit..

having no sound bugged the heck out of me...so last night when my cousin got home from work (around midnight) i asked him to check out the computer...we must have spent 40 mins tinkering around until my cousin figured it out...my computer would have been soundless if it wasnt for him...

well i woke up around 630 this morning for my appointment (wheel alignment for my van) at 800...getting up this early in the day was foreign to me...my body knew its summer time so it took me forever to get up...good news though was that it only took 45 mins for the van to be fixed and the mechanic even fixed something else while he was at it for no extra charge...

after my appointment, me chris and glenn went to LA to visit randy...the mini road trip was a blast...singing songs, cracking jokes, and telling stories (all while eating ritz bits smores)...the only downside was LA traffic...stop and go for 30+ minutes for no apparent reason and then it would get clear all of a sudden...yup but thats LA for you, that and the brown haze you can see and taste in the air...

when we got to randy's apartment we hung out for a bit, just stretching out and drying ourselves out (on long drives my lower back gets sweaty as all heck...having the sun beating on me doesnt help either)...he then drove us around to little tokyo where we ate large amounts of food at this japanese restaurant and then checked out this japanese bookstore...then we headed to this store called meltdown...it had comics, posters, books, and old school toys (thunder cats, transformers, etc.) all in their original packaging...next we headed back to his pad...while we were there i spent some time going through randy's sketchbooks and palettes...his work is amazing...many of his drawings make you do a double take because you cant believe that one man could create such a picture with just a pencil or pen...my words here do him no justice...hopefully ill be able to get pictures or scan some the next time i go up there...all i can say is that when he gets famous (which he will), ill be able to say i know that guy, he's my best friend...

well today we shampooed the carpet...first it was just supposed to be the living and family rooms...but then everyone wanted their rooms done as well...so we ended up doing the whole entire house...at the same time i reformated my computer...TWICE...i couldnt figure out how to start putting everything back on the harddrive...things did not flow at all, this was the most difficult experience ive ever had...and its still not running smoothly, im missing sound...uf!

"untitled" ..finch..

this morning was nothing but cleanup...we moved everything and vacuumed the whole entire house from top to bottom...and in the process we were able to go through lots of junk (mostly my father's...he's the biggest pack rat in the family) and throw it away...my mom's plan is that tomorrow we would be shampooing the carpets, hence for the cleanup today...

after going through so much of my dads junk today, i was able to realize his sickness...maybe its been all the years that ive grown around it that ive been blind to his obession...he's frugal as all hell and he likes to collect and save everything..."you never know when you're going to need it" thats what he always says...the thing is that he has so much crap, he forgets what he has and it never gets used...so the stuff just builds and builds...its so embarrassing...

i made my way to best buy and purchased the warped tour 2002 compilation for 4.99...50 bands 50 songs for such a low price, i thought why not?...then since it was a hot day i decided to get some boba at green tea house...right now im backing up the computer (all my mp3s, programs, etc.)...and at the same time ill attempt to start cleaning up my room...

"like a movie" ..midtown..

today was another busy day...it could have been a lazy day, but i chose to get some things done...first i went to the navy exchange with my sis to look around...we initially were looking for a belated father's day gift but then we got distracted and started looking around for ourselves...i want a camera (for my upcoming trip to florida) and some car speakers to replace the blown out ones in my car...the gift will just have to be delayed until we can come up with something that he can actually use or put to use...in the afternoon i changed my oil, rotated my tires, and finally washed my car (it was getting difficult to see out of my windows)...afterwards i watched ocean's eleven with my sis...right now im backing up my computer so i can reformat this bad boy...ive been having problems with the computer lately, so im gonna start all over...hopefully it will all be back up and running by tomorrow...

"programmed" ..agent 51..

yesterday: i watched the dvd extras of jay and silent bob strike back...that movie is so damn hilarious...its even better if you've watched all the other kevin smith movies (clerks, mallrats, chasing amy, and dogma)...afterwards me, the bantog brothers (chris and randy) and glenn went to cotijas...nothing hits the spot like mexican food when you're hungy at night...then we headed back to my house for several games of blitz on the gamecube...later in the night i made a quick stop at a friend's graduation party...hopefully ill be throwing a graduating party next year (if i pass all my classes)...

today: i was busy in the morning searching for affordable airline tickets to florida...my sister wants to go but she wants to go with a couple of my cousins as well...its tough to find a good deal for 3 people but i was able to find one eventually...are you looking for some great prices?...just head over to hotwire (ill give them a plug because ive gotten my tickets from there more than once and im happy with the prices)...after the ticket buying fiasco it was off to the park to play some bball with my little bro rick, randy, and glenn...let me tell you, it was not a pretty sight...3 out of the 4 people (me, randy and glenn) were extremely out of shape...we were exhausted after 15 minutes, and we were just shooting around...we must have looked pathetic to onlookers but that didnt matter...it was all about getting out, having fun, and breaking a sweat (3 things i should do more often)...a little later on me and randy helped glenn by moving some stuff out of his brothers apartment...as payment glenn made some sushi...sushi is good anytime, anywhere...a little later everyone gathered at my house and we played a game of blitz until it got all buggy and froze on us...just around then a splitting headache came from nowhere...i was able to cope with it through the night...later we all headed to kay's house just to watch a dvd and chill...a very busy day indeed...
