"closer to the ground" ..21 rest..
3 hours of tilling + 3 hours of digging trenches/picking up rocks = a body that hurts...yes the dreaded day was today...laboring under the intense sun where time just seems to crawl very slowly... oh but my day didnt stop there...as soon as we were finished for the day i had to take my brother to the ER...it seems he fractured his right hand (an injury acquired before working)...thank God that my mom works at the ER...she shaved off hours of us waiting (even though we were there for about 3 hours)...the reason for the long stay was that there were other people in line getting casts for their fractures and breaks...it seemed one person ahead of him had the same exact fracture as him...and then there were others who just needed more attention (one girl was in some type of accident and had multiple fractures all over her body)...so now he has a cast which he will have for about 4-6 weeks...he cant play basketball, go to the beach, play video games, and now he has to figure some way to write for his english class...a hard lesson learned... 7.5.2002
"boom (remix)" ..crystal method..
so how was your 4th of july?...i woke up with an aching body and a sunburnt face (the aftermath of warped tour and well worth it)...then it was off digging trenches at one of my houses that we rent out to people...we are going to install a sprinkler system from pretty much scratch...today was only a planning day really, the grunt work will come saturday when we have to till the ground, dig more trenches, and then install piping... the rest of the day was dedicated to me working in the garage...first i had to change my van's oil and then i had to check out my cousins jeep grand cherokee...he said he heard some grinding noise when he went to brake...i had a quick listen and then i decided to crack the baby open and go to work...i found out that his brakes were completely gone and that he was grinding away at his rotors...the rotors were far from saving so we had to buy new ones and brake pads...even though it took a few hours, the time was well spent having my skills put to the test and in the process sharing some knowledge...a very rewarding experience indeed... later in the evening we watched a fireworks show from the comfort of our upstairs window...then with some leftover firecrackers from a few years back me my bro and cousin went into the street...yeah we bothered many of the neighbors with our firecrackers that sounded like "gun blasts"...a few of them stepped out of their houses to see the cause of the racket...but we were never seen hiding behind our cars...when our bag of fun was empty we decided to watch "panic room"...all i can say is that david fincher is the man...the cinematography was beautiful...go watch all his films... 7.3.2002
